It is one of the Biggest soil reservoir which stores water up to120 feets and used for 25000 arches agriculture. It is placed near sathy and gets the water from Bhavani river which flows from mettupalayam.

Really Gobi Chetti palyam is green city.You can see the water everywhere casually and very cool place.But now it is dried..we are not getting proper water even for drinking..The lakes and rivers are having less quantity of water only....
Hi-tech city is some what affecting originolity of the Gobichettipalayam...
The city is loosing its natural beauty these days. Sad part. People are never belive in agriculture and builing industries/buildings in those lands.
